EXPANSION BELLOWS & FLEXIBLE CONNECTIONS
Expansion joints, also known as compensators or bellows are necessary in systems that convey media at various pressures and temperatures such as steam, exhaust gases, liquids and powders.
Expansion joints are designed to absorb movement and be flexible enough to accept axial, lateral, and angular deflections caused by thermal expansion and also vibration usually generated by motor driven equipment e.g. pumps, combustion engines, shakers and compressors.
Materials of construction can be of Steel normally used for high temperature more demanding applications, Rubber, PTFE and Proofed Woven Fabrics are also common depending on the media.
Available sizes from DN25 up to 1.2m diameter for Rubber and Steel fabrications.
For proof woven fabrics we are able to offer virtually any size and profile to your dimensioned drawing alternatively we can visit your site to measure and discuss.
We are able to offer WRAS and Lloyds approval for manufactured stainless steel units which also conform to PED legislation, WRAS approved Standard Rubber Bellows units are also available.
We are able to offer an extensive range of materials and material combinations in many different profiles and sizes.
Hand stitched or welded units can be manufactured to suit a multitude of applications where chemical resistance, abrasion resistance, high temperature and FDA requirements apply.
Clear FDA and ATEX approved welded Polyurethane and PVC 0.35 to 1.5mm wall thickness.
Viton, Silicone, PTFE, Hypalon, EPDM, Neoprene, PU, PVC coated Glass, Ceramic, Kevlar, Nylon are just a small section of popular materials commonly used on many applications.
